Dance for Fun is the only place in the Midwest, and probably in the whole world,  that offers open ballroom dancing 7 days a week. The studio is an unique combination of a traditional ballroom environment, a party atmosphere and an exercise center.

Located in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, minutes from the loop, Midway between O'Hare and Midway airports, Walking distance, from the Metra train, between interstates 55 and 290. We do not serve alcohol and smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the building. The number one best thing about Dance For Fun is the people that come here, they are friendly, helpful and good friends to know.

Ballroom dancing is romantic, glamorous and becoming very popular. It promotes intimacy, passion and is deeply satisfying. It is an activity for all age groups.

Everyone is welcome here, a 15 year old can dance comfortably in the company of an 80 year old. A mixture of wide ethnic groups makes this a truly exciting and special place to dance.

Operating since 1996, the studio offers dance lessons (American and International style) for beginners through advanced, practice session and parties. Please check the Schedules and Events for detailed information. We also provide excellent professionals to guide and support you through group or private sessions.

Dancing is fun and Dance for Fun is the place to be.

When we say we are the only place that has open ballroom dancing 7 days a week, we understand that other places are open every night, but we never have a night that is devoted exclusively to just one dance.  Our music is waltz, rumba, foxtrot, swing, quickstep, tango, salsa, cha cha, merenque, etc. and, especially fun.

DRESS CODE

The dress code at Dance For Fun is relatively relaxed. Ballroom dancing historically has been, and we feel that it should be, some what elegant. From Monday through Thursday, we have no dress code at all, because the atmosphere is more of that of a practice place. On Friday and Saturday nights, the atmosphere is that of a party so the following rules apply.

Jeans and sweats are not acceptable. Even if the Jeans are decorative and somewhat dressy, they are not acceptable. Men should wear dressy pants and a shirt with a collar. If a person comes for the first time dressed outside the code, they will informed of the code, and allowed to enter. If a person comes again dressed outside the code, they will be allowed to enter but a $5.00 charge will be added to the entrance fee.
